CALI mourns the passing of Professor Russell Weaver, whose dedication to legal education enriched the work of colleagues, educators, and students alike. Through his authorship of CALI Lessons, he generously shared his knowledge and helped make legal concepts more accessible and engaging. We are grateful for his lasting contributions to CALI and the broader legal education community.
“I was saddened to learn of Russ Weaver’s passing”, said CALI’s Executive Director, John Mayer. “Russ and CALI had a long partnership -he wrote over a dozen lessons for us and was one of the early CALI Fellows. He was one of the hardest working law faculty I knew with this publishing, tech projects, international travel and leadership at SEAALS – Russ ran through life – not walked and I will miss him.”
